This bedroom must have presented quite a challenge to Angela Grande – look at the dimensions – long and narrow with a high ceiling. I think she worked some real magic in preserving the open feel while at the same time creating an intimate space.
Wood-Mode snuck up on me with this particular product. It’s not heavy, or over-done…in fact, it’s rather clever having a combined workspace/counter. Maybe a better name for the product would have been ‘Clever Simplicity.’
What I love most about this design is that it actually does not look “designed” – it’s not overly done at all. For me, this is the mark of a designer who really listens to her clients and doesn’t need to insert herself into the finished design.
Decorative Crafts is a company that really fills a void in well-made decorative accessories. Their products range from traditional to transitional and run the gamut from table lamps to interesting wastebaskets. You never know where you might need to fill in a space with one of their products.
Mid-century Modern, Art Deco, Retro, or just plain old cool-looking, this chair is a favorite of mine. I think it’s wonderfully styled, with great lean, long lines. It can sit happily in many different rooms, making it a versatile choice.
