Don’t be afraid of Fall or Winter. Embrace the seasons by bringing some of it inside (except for snow of course). Pillow designs seem to have become a bit overdone for my taste, so it’s no wonder I was drawn to a simpler, more elegant style – like the one above.

Steampunked actually. Steampunk design is a subgenre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the late 1980′s. It’s look and feel is combination of steam power with a bit of Jules Verne science fiction thrown in. It’s not for everyone, but I find some of the pieces very intriguing. And Art Donovan’s designs in this genre knock me out. Must be something in the air out there in the Hamptons, where Art and Leslie Donovan make their home.

Happy happy….that’s always my reaction when I see the work that comes out of the Union Street Glass factory. Guy Corrie, glassblower and master craftsperson seems to have quite the touch with color and design. I’m so pleased that Guy and his wife Leanne choose to share their happy world with us.
